Man killed after van bursts into flames in crash

A MAN has died in a serious crash south of Brisbane on Friday night.

Two cars were involved in the crash on Beaudesert Beenleigh Rd, Luscombe.

One man was declared deceased at the scene and another male was being treated for minor injuries.

Emergency services closed Beaudesert Beenleigh Road, Luscombe north of Shaws Pocket.

The road was expected to remain closed for three hours.

On Saturday, police said initial information suggests that a van that was travelling on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road around 7.45pm collided with a ute.

The van caught fire and the occupant, a man in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
