Man killed in crash on the D'Aguilar Highway

A MAN, 70, has been killed in a two vehicle crash north-east of Toowoomba today.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash on the D'Aguilar Highway, three kilometres south of Kingaroy, shortly after 10am.

It is understood the man, who is from Blackbutt, was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

A woman, 74, who was driving one of the vehicles, sustained multiple injuries and has been transported to Kingaroy hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 28-year-old woman from Taabinga, was also seriously injured in the crash and has been transported to the same hospital.

The highway remains closed in both direction but diversions are in place.

The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
