Man may have been crushed under car for 24 hours

A GOLD Coast man may have lain crushed under his car for more than 24 hours before neighbours found his body on Tuesday.

The 47-year-old was crushed to death after the car he was working on fell on him, police said.

It is believed the man was working on his car on Monday.

Friends tried to call the man on Monday, but he did not answer his phone.

Neighbours found the man's body under the car in the garage of his home in Latrobe Avenue, Helensvale about 5.30pm on Tuesday.
