Man stabbed after altercation with a woman at West Mackay

A 35-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed in West Mackay, police said.

About 7am today police were called to a Simpson St residence following reports a man and woman were involved in altercation.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries to his arm and was transported to Mackay Base Hospital for treatment.

The pair is believed to be known to each other.

Police are investigating the unlawful wounding incident.
