Man to face court after Granite Belt "assault”

A 19-year-old woman suffered bruising to the upper body, leg and arm injuries in an alleged assault on Thursday at 6.30pm at the Country Style Caravan Park at Glen Aplin.

The next day, a 24-year-old man was arrested by Wallangarra Police and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

"The man was taken to the Stanthorpe Watchhouse and then released on bail on conditions he does not approach the woman or attend the caravan park in the lead up to his court appearance," Sergeant Alan Baker, of Wallangarra police said.

He will face Stanthorpe Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
