Man to face court on hooning charges on Darling Downs

A 24-YEAR-OLD Nevilton man will face Warwick Magistrates Court on four charges after allegedly doing burn outs and hooning east of Clifton.

Police from Clifton and Allora investigated after receiving information from the public at noon Saturday that a driver had allegedly being making a nuisance of himself on the corner of McGovern and Carey Rds at Nevilton.

Police made a few inquiries and identified the alleged offender who will face court later this month.

He will be charged with undue noise, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and displaying false number plates.

The man had his vehicle immobilised for 90 days under the hooning legislation.

Police said there were burn out marks on the bitumen at the road intersection allegedly caused by the driver who has been charged.
