Marking time for the bridge

LINE marking will be carried out in the coming days on the O.O.Madsen Bridge, which had flood repair work completed last week.

There will be more flood-related repair works to be carried out on several sites along the Cunningham Hwy between Warwick and Inglewood over the next few months.

Flood repair work continues on the New England Hwy between Warwick and Wallangarra and is due to finish in November.

Spring Creek Rd near Browns Falls, Killarney, is expected to re-open to two-way traffic on August 26.

The $2.2 million project involved the drilling and installation of piles on the downhill side of the road to stabilise the embankment and allow the surface to be rebuilt to full width after a landslip.

These works are being delivered under Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA), a joint federal and state initiative.
