Maroons to camp at Coolum resort
THE Queensland State of Origin side will arrive at Palmer Coolum Resort this evening to prepare for its clash with NSW in Sydney next Wednesday.
The Maroons, one-nil up this campaign and closing in on a record seventh successive series triumph, will stay on the Sunshine Coast until Tuesday morning.
The likes of Sam Thaiday, Greg Inglis and Billy Slater will be put through their paces each day by coach Mal Meninga.
"It's a great venue and we always look forward to going to Coolum," team manager Steve Walters said.
"They've got good fields, the gym facilities are really good, the rooms are great and the players love the food."
Queensland will also be at Coolum ahead of the series finale in Brisbane on July 4.
"There will be a chance for people to come and see the players at Harvey Norman when we are back up here for game three," Walters said.
Sunshine Coast Daily readers have the chance to win a double pass to a Queensland State of Origin lunch that the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles will host at Novotel Twin Waters on June 27.
To enter, all you need to do is collect an entry form from the Sunshine Coast Daily between May 29 and June 14.
