Maryvale and Wheatvale to play in A grade grand final
CRICKET: It will be Maryvale Condamine against Wheatvale in the battle for the A-grade cricket premiership in Condamine Cup cricket at Slade Park in Warwick on Saturday.
Wheatvale scored a nine-wicket win against Railway Hotel Rascals in today’s qualifying final on the back of six wickets by Paul Cantwell.
In reserve grade, favourites Warwick Hotel Colts will play Inglewood Roos in the grand final on Saturday.
The Roos won by more than 100 yesterday against Sovereign Animals after an unbeaten 98 by team co-organiser Jeremy Ralph.
Unofrtunately, Ralph did not face the last ball of the 40th over so did not get the chance to go for glory off the 240th ball of the innings. He shared a partnership with Tyler Wolff, 38 not out, which took the Inglewood score well past 200.
The A-grade grand final will be on Saturday at Slade Park and the reserve-grade season decider at Mayhew Oval also on Saturday.
The player of the year and all individual awards will be presented after the grand finals on Saturday.
