Maryvale maintain unbeaten record in all cricket

CRICKET: Maryvale Condamine scored a convincing win against Inglewood to finish the T20 three-round competition with two wins and secure a semi-final spot.

With a number of teams on one win after some washouts, a countback will be needed to determine the other semi finalists.

Maryvale made 8-180 in their 20 overs, Michael Bourke top scoring with 44.

Star Maryvale batsman Shane Hooper scored 39 in an Inglewood score of 106.

The win carries on a golden year for Maryvale which is unbeaten in the Condamine Cup 40 over competition.

Last season, Maryvale only lost one competition game before going down to Wheatvale in the grand final and will be working hard to avoid another season with a golden run of fixture results in the longer form of the game and a stumble in the finals.

These will be no club cricket this weekend due to the Australia Day Cricket Carnival.

Maryvale Condy is one of only a couple of Warwick club teams which enters a team under their regular club banner in the annual carnival.

While the weather has cooled off early this week, the hot weather will return by mid week and the temperature is tipped to reach 36 degrees on Saturday.

For teams playing two games on Sunday like the main competition finalists, the good news is the temperature on Sunday is only predicted to reach 31 degrees.
