Massive crowd watch Philippines sports finals at WIRAC

WIRAC was packed to the rafters as Warwick became a hub for Philippines Independence Day Celebrations at the weekend.

While the parade, opening and all volleyball preliminary games were at the Warwick State High School Great Hall, top-four finals in both basketball and volleyball was at WIRAC late Sunday afternoon.

The basketball preliminary games were all at WIRAC and a loss on Saturday night meant Warwick was eliminated from men's basketball.

There was barely a spare bit of seating or court space left as the final two games in each sport were played from 3pm Sunday.
