Massive weapons haul seized in police raids

TWO people have been charged and a number of restricted weapons seized following raids in Esk and Hendra yesterday.

Following investigations by the State Crime Command's Drug and Serious Crime Group detectives yesterday executed search warrants on addresses on Nudgee Road, Hendra and Outlook Drive, Esk.

A number of restricted items and weapons were allegedly seized including 46 extend-able batons, 221 flick knives, seven taser guns, 15 knuckle dusters and 164 nunchakus.

A 70-year-old man was charged with one count each of supply category M and R weapons and possess category M and R weapons. He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 24.

A 50-year-old man was charged with one count of possess category M and R weapons. He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 27.
