Masters and Kiernan leads the way for Allora

CRICKET: An unbeaten 65 by Cameron Masters paved the way for an Allora victory against Warwick Hotel Colts in Saturday's club game at Allora.

Batting first, Colts made 9-191 off their 40 overs, Lachlan Gross top scoring with 89. Maugan Benn was next best with 27.

Matt Kiernan headed the Allora bowlers with 3-34 off eight overs, including the wicket of Gross who was caught by Tom Higgins.

After losing an early wicket, Kris Wright, 28, and Mitch McLennan, 49, put Allora in the hunt for a win.

Masters then found some willing partners in the lower order to secure the win with four wickets in hand and nine overs to spare.

Ben Gross was the best of the Colts bowlers with 2-19 off five overs. There is no Condamine Cup cricket on the next two weekends.
