Masters of Morgan Park in Warwick this weekend with 170 nominations
MOTORCYCLE RACING: There are 170 nominations for the Pirelli Masters of Morgan Park meeting this weekend.
The Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland call Morgan Park their home track and this weekend’s racing will feature BEARS bikes as well as the Gregg Hansford Trophy class.
The BEARS event will attract bikes which have been manufactured in Britain, Europe, America and Australia.
Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland vice-president Simon Dickson said the BEARS class catered for virtually every bike not manufactured in Japan.
“Ducati, BMW, Aprilia, Buell and KTM are five of the manufacturers which will be represented in BEARS this weekend,” he said.
Sixty of the riders have nominated on more than one bike.
The Gregg Hansford Trophy Event is for historic bikes manufactured 1950-1999.
There are 10 sidecars nominated, a popular event when the motorcycle racers head to Morgan Park.
Qualifying is on Saturday morning with racing Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.
Admission is $15 for adults which includes a free sausage and drink. Admission free for children and pensioners.
