Match of the new season in cricket

EVERYONE talks about the match of the day or the match of the week, tomorrow is the match of the season in Condamine Cup cricket at Slade Park in Warwick.

Warwick Hotel Colts and Maryvale-Condamine are both unbeaten and it is likely the teams will be close to full strength for the 12.30pm game tomorrow. It will be 40 overs a side.

Despite a lot of players being unavailable, Colts captain Shaun O'Leary came up with 11 players last Sunday as he called on a few mates to help out.

Colts will be closer to full strength this week, except for some players at Schoolies Week, but don't be surprised if some make a dash home tomorrow morning.

Maryvale also won't be at full strength but not just because of Schoolies, keeper Pat Bourke is helping out at a Sony Camp to help children with a disability.

Tomorrow, Allora and Railway Hotel Rascals meet at Allora at 12.30pm while Wheatvale and Redbacks will play at Mayhew Oval.

The Sunday game is Inglewood against Sovereign at Slade Park at 10.30am. Patrons are welcome to watch at any ground or sit in air-conditioned comfort at Slade Park for free.
