The Daily Mercury reported on Saturday that the group McAleese has been restructured following administration, renamed Rivet, with chief executive Mark Rowsthorn remaining at the helm.

The Rivet Group will operate in the heavy haulage, specialised transport, logistics and lifting industries, and will operate four businesses according to the company's website.

Supporting Rowsthorn will be Phillip Tonks, former Asciano executive, in the position of chief operating officer.

The Australian Financial Review reported that Keith Crawford, McGrathNicol partner and one of McAleese's voluntary administrators, said the restructure of the group was completed ahead of the proposed March target date.

The Rivet Group's website states employee numbers in excess of 1300.
