McKenzie one top round away from Warwick championship win

GOLF: Shane McKenzie is one solid round away from winning his first Warwick Golf Club A-grade championship.

After round 3 on Saturday, he has a three-round score of 225, four ahead of early leader Neil Glen.

Jay Roberts is third and Tim Sutton fourth.

In B grade, Mal Galloway leads with 250, two in front of Chris Hynes.

There is a cliff-hanger in C grade with Ken Burley and Tom Smith on 276 and Gunter Nicklich on 277.

In ladies, Sam Hinze leads A grade with 244 from Marg Adcock on 271.

Michelle Wright is first in B grade shooting 288 in the first three rounds, 13 in front of Majella Kahler.

Marge Burley leads C grade with 342 from Judy Stiff on 353.

The final round is being played today.
