Condon first in Pentath-run

AFTER getting the Warwick Pentath-run bug last year, Brooke Condon flew from Melbourne to participate in her second annual event.

“I was in Brisbane last year, and when I moved to Melbourne in my job as a financial planner, decided to return,” Condon said.

After finishing second in the half marathon from Warwick to Yangan on Saturday morning, Condon won the other four events to finish first overall in a time of two hours, 48 minutes, 47 seconds.

“I didn’t expect to win the half marathon (to Yangan) so was happy with second,” Condon said.

“It was a tough climb to Queen Mary Falls yesterday and took me 43 minutes and one second,” Condon said.

The men’s event was won by past winner Brendan Whelan in 2: 28.34.
