Mental Health Week flash mob surprises Rose City shoppers

ROSE City shoppers have been treated to a heart warming rendition of the song Stand By Me by a flash mob for Mental Health Week.

The flash mob, consisting of Community Network of Warwick members and the WUPPIES - Warwick Ukulele Players and Performers and Interested Enthusiasts Society, moved shoppers in Rose City Shoppingworld on Friday.

The heart-warming rendition of Stand By Me was led by the vocals of a local 14-year-old school boy and his brother on the violin.

Mental Wealth Week co-ordinator Julia Keogh said the theme of Valuing Mental Health was very present during the group's performance.

"The WUPPIES certainly entertained the crowd with a number of people speaking to our team after the show, and finding out about local mental health support services," she said.
