Mercury is set to plummet in coming days

WINTER has well and truly settled into the Rose City, with white lawns greeting early risers over the past week.

This morning may have offered a slight reprieve as the mercury dropped to a 5°C minimum.

But don't get too used to the milder morning, temperatures are set to plummet towards freezing again in the next few days.

Tomorrow is set to deliver a foggy morning and a frosty 0°C start to the day and Sunday expected to see Warwickites shiver through a -1°C minimum.

Rain clouds could make an appearance over the city today, bringing up to 10mm of rain.

Today's maximum temperature is expected to be just 12°C, with tops of 16°C predicted for tomorrow and 15°C on Sunday.
