Miami vice: Man murders wife then posts Facebook photo

A MAN who killed his wife and then posted a photo of her on Facebook told friends that they could expect to see him on the news.

Derek Medina, 31, said he was "going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife," adding, "love you guys miss you guys take care Facebook people you will see me in the news."

He went on to justify his actions by claiming that his wife had been punching him, The Miami New Times reports.

"I am not going to stand anymore with the abuse so I did what I did I hope you understand me," Medina wrote.

Medina's Facebook page, which has since been deleted, had a photograph of a woman believed to be Jennifer Alfonso bent backwards against kitchen cabinets with her face and arms covered in blood.

The post was captioned "Rip Jennifer Alfonso."

Medina went to police to tell authorities that he had a domestic dispute with his wife, and then shot her, CBS reports.

Police have confirmed he is the suspect.

It is believed a 10 year old girl was at home at the time of the death.

Medina is said to have bizarre collection of more than 140 YouTube posts, including a video of him playing the video game Black Ops.

While he plays the game, a woman in the backgrounds says, "You shot me. You shot me."
