Horror as kids see pack of dogs attack miniature horses
MINI-horses Pinky and Whisper were happily grazing with their bigger equine mates in a fenced paddock when they were attacked by a pack of big angry dogs.
Hearing the commotion and fearing the worst when they saw the aggressive dogs, the Shelford children called their parents to quickly return home, saying the dogs were chasing the horses.
Their mother Renae Shelford told them to stay inside for safety in case the dogs attacked them at their property near Calliope Country Club.

Mrs Shelford said the dogs fled across the golf course and a golfer later described seeing four huge dogs.
"He said they were big enough to put a saddle on and ride them," Mrs Shelford said.
"We have suspicions they could be pig hunting dogs that escaped."

She believes Cola; a larger horse kicked the attacking dogs, causing them to run off.
With blood dripping off their coats Pinky and Whisper suffered nasty gashes, bite wounds to their wither area in the attacks soon after 10am on Tuesday.
The family now faces the expense of veterinary bills and medical treatment and the normally friendly horses remain skittish, even nervous of their pet dogs.
"It's most dangerous. These dogs have been blooded and will attack to kill," Mrs Shelford said.
"It could have been a child and if attacked around the neck by these big hunting dogs could have killed."
Mrs Shelford has notified council and urges anyone with information to let them know in case they attack again with fatal results.
