Warwick's Molli Devine joins party in Brazil

WARWICK has supplied its own representative to the FIFA World Cup in the form of 18-year-old Molli Devine.

Exploring the streets of Sao Paulo Brazil yesterday draped in the Australian flag the exchange student joined other Aussies to cheer on the Socceroos. Their tiny OZ army had such a presence it even made the local news.

"We were all dressed up, so many random people were coming up asking to take photos with us," she said.

Molli said watching the first game in the world cup was a memory she would never forget.

"When Brazil scores goals it's insane, you could hear for miles the horns and screaming and people had little fireworks going off," Molli said. !

"When Brazil is playing the busy population of nearly 22 million in Sao Paulo stop everything."

While the cultural difference is apparent Molli doesn't mind. "It doesn't matter what age they (the Brazilians) love to party."
