More frosts this week

THE fine and sunny weather on the Southern Downs will continue this week.

Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Brett Harrison said he wasn't expecting much change.

"Cold mornings will continue but the days will warm up during the week," Mr Harrison said.

"There are likely to be morning frosts on the Southern Darling Downs and Granite Belt until late in the week."

Warwick's minimum temperature today and tomorrow is predicted to be one degree, and two degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.

The gusty winds experienced early at the weekend are expected to decrease as the week goes on.

The next change will hit the Southern Downs on Friday, which will bring stronger winds.

Mr Harrison said while there would be some cloud, he wasn't expecting any rain.

It was minus 2 degrees at Stanthorpe yesterday morning, minus 1 at Applethorpe and 1 degree in Warwick.

Winds will be stronger on Thursday as the change approaches from the west.
