More of the same in Boxing Day Test
IT doesn't matter where you're from in Australia, the Boxing Day Test is one of the sporting highlights of the year.
Sadly, however, day one failed to live up to that billing. Australia picked up where it left off in the opening test, but unfortunately so did the Windies.
The visitors won the toss and daringly sent Australia into bat.
David Warner came out swinging, 23 from 12 balls in a short-lived inning, but it was Joe Burns (128) and Usman Khawaja's (144) turn to have some fun at the expense of the dismal Windies attack.
The bowlers struggled to get any movement on a flat pitch before the day ended with Australia puffing its chest on 3-345.
The Windies are up against it today, too, with newly crowned ICC cricketer of the year Steve Smith at the pitch and looking comfortable on 32, and double century hero Adam Voges not far behind on 10.
