More oppressive conditions ahead with weather
FARMERS and gardeners desperate for rain will have to wait a few days yet.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Michelle Berry said there would be above average temperatures for the rest of the week.
"The Warwick average maximum for January is 30 degrees but there is potential for temperatures around 35 or 36 degrees. It is forecast to reach 36 degrees on Saturday before the next trough,” she said.
As for rain, it will be fine early in the week with some storm potential on Wednesday and Thursday.
"Storms are more likely in the Stanthorpe area, the closer you live to the New South Wales border, the higher the chance of a storm on Wednesday or Thursday,” Ms Berry said.
"The better storm potential is on Saturday with the possibility of isolated heavier falls.”
