More rain and storms on the way for Warwick

WARWICK was treated to a spectacular light show, with storms lighting up the sky last night - and the weather bureau is warning there's more to come.

While the storms were hit and miss, areas of the Southern Downs received scattered heavy falls with open arms.

While only 7mm fell in Warwick, other areas had some of their heavest falls since the start of the year.

Wallangarra  recorded 35mm overnight, while 12mm fell on Elbow Valley.

The region's thirsty dams were also in luck, with 16mm falling at Leslie Dam and 26mm at Storm King Dam.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting gusty storms, possibly severe, to sweep across the Southern Downs again this afternoon.
