Morgan Park ready for Queensland Motor Racing Championship

THERE will be 130 starters for round 3 of the Queensland Motor Racing Championship at Morgan Park this weekend.

The event is being promoted by the Queensland Motor Racing Drivers Association.

The association hosts one event a year at Morgan Park Raceway and the Warwick District Sporting Car Club will run the canteen this weekend.

John Wishart will be one of the Warwick drivers in the group n historic touring cars in an 105 Alfa.

TC Campbell and her father Bill Campbell will both compete in Toranas in group n.

Warwick-born driver Rebecca Dawes who now lives at the Gold Coast and fiancée Mark Gray will be in Geminis after competing earlier in the year at Bathurst.

Driver Greg Willis has business interests in Warwick and will compete in an Oz Truck in the sports sedan class.

Racing will start at 8.30am Saturday and Sunday. There is a small admission charge.

After this weekend, there will be no racing on August 23-24 as it coincides with the Leyburn Sprints and then super sprints action returns to the raceway on the last weekend in August.
