Motel finds the BEST fit with new worker
BEST Employment approached McNevin's Warwick Motel manager Danielle McNevin earlier this year looking to find a job for Kirsten O'Brien.
Neither party has looked back since.
Kirsten took on the role of room assistant at the motel in late March, helping with laundry and cleaning.
She says she is unsure of where she would be without the help of BEST.
"I probably wouldn't be doing a lot if they hadn't helped me find a job," she said.
"They were really helpful - I liaised with them to let them know what I was looking for and then they came back to me with the opportunity here at McNevin's.
"Work here is going pretty good - the people I work with have been very supportive.
"There are a few other long-time staff members here, so they've been able to give me pointers or advice."
Ms McNevin too is pleased with how things have worked out.
"We actually weren't looking for someone, but Dan from BEST approached me and Kirsten has been a real good fit," Ms McNevin said.
"She's a pleasure to work with and has become a valuable employee here in a short space of time.
"Being a motel, it's important to have good staff because there are so many reviews on the internet as well as word of mouth.
"We've used BEST before to hire our maintenance guy, Phil, and he's still here with us as well."
With two positive experiences behind her, Ms McNevin said she would recommend the organisation to other employers.
"I trust BEST and their recommendations," she said.
"They've got a good pool of candidates and are easy to work with."
Congratulations McNevin's Warwick Motel, you are an employer champion and, along with BEST Employment, are changing people's lives.
