Motorbike rider claims not to know about licence suspension
A 39-YEAR-OLD has been fined and lost his licence after pleading guilty to one count of driving with a suspended licence.
Garry Allan Algie fronted Warwick Magistrates Court this morning.
The Mount Sturt man was pulled over while driving a motorbike at Yangan in November.
Algie told Magistrate Bevan Manthey he was not aware his licence was suspended when he committed the offence.
"I got the letter a couple of days after I was caught," Algie said.
During sentencing Mr Manthey noted Algie had pleaded guilty early and ordered him to pay a $300 fine and disqualified his licence for one month.
