Motorbike rider caught speeding

POLICE are appealing for help from the public to track down a motorcyclist who was clocked at nearly 200kmh in a 60 zone near Nobby on Monday.

The motorcyclist was seen speeding along Felton-Clifton Rd at 1.30pm on that day.

Police located the speed-freak later in the afternoon on Walker St at Clifton and motioned for him to pull over, but the rider had other ideas and rode around the police vehicle and tore off down the street.

The motorcycle is a blue sports-style bike with white trims.

The rider was wearing black clothing and a black helmet.

He will face speeding charges when caught and could possibly face charges of dangerous driving and evading police.

Police have asked the public to help identify the rider of the motorbike by calling Clifton police on 0429 102 420 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
