Motorcycle rider airlifted to Brisbane

A MAN in his late 50s was airlifted from Inglewood to Brisbane after a motorcycle accident at 2.13pm Saturday.

A unit from the Queensland Ambulance Service, Inglewood station, was called to the scene at Gore, a centre on the Cunningham Highway south west of Karara.

The man was taken to Inglewood Hospital and then the Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the man to PA Hospital suffering traumatic injuries.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue responded to 20 calls for help in the south east and around Mt Isa at the weekend.
