Motorcyclist clocked 169kmh on Darling Downs highway

DOWNRIGHT dangerous is how Goondiwindi Police have described a motorcyclist, busted doing 169kmh on the Cunningham Hwy.

The man was pulled over by police on the highway yesterday.

He was issued with a high range speeding fine and was also fined for having an expired drivers licence.

Goondiwindi Police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Richard McIntosh said the high speed was not acceptable and downright dangerous.

"It poses a risk to not only the rider of the motorcycle, but to all users of the highway," he said.
