Motorsport weekend will feature interstate battle
THE Short Circuit Motor Sport Association will hold its Queensland/New South Wales Sprint Challenge and Short Circuit Touring Car Series at Morgan Park Raceway this weekend.
Short circuit means exactly what it says, lot of corners and short straights. The circuit to be used this weekend will be the one which was the original short dirt track at Morgan Park.
Part of the home straight doubles for the short circuit course and the 3.1km long circuit.
Five weeks to go
THERE might be five weeks to the Polocrosse World Cup but all the players will be in town a week early.
Teams will draw for horses on April 16 and can start practice the next day. Teams will be allocated set times for practice, which makes it fair for everyone.
Every team will be allocated 16 horses, eight for the men and eight for the women. They will get a replacement horse if one is vetted out by cup veterinary surgeon Chris Reardon.
BRIDGET Shepherd travelled to New Zealand with a Queensland junior polocrosse team which won a series 2-0 against the Kiwis.
She was the one Warwick club polocrosse player in the junior team. Her parents, Stuart and Trish, have both played for Queensland. Looking at club notes down the years, Bridget has won many best player awards.
