Mucky job, but it has to be done
IF TEN horses plus grass plus feed equals one full box trailer of manure a day, then 800 horses plus grass plus feed equals 80 box trailers of manure a day.
That's 1120 trailer loads of horse poo picked up over the two weeks these polocrosse horses spend at Morgan Park.
That's a lot of garden improver for one event.
So where does it all go?
Well, seeing as there are no brown mountains only a four-wheel-drive could conquer on the grounds, it must go somewhere else.
Warwick Polocrosse Club member Merv Mangan said there was a series of steps taken to clean up the droppings.
"Each person cleans their own stall, then they put it into piles and a bobcat comes along three times a day and puts it into a yellow skip bin," Mr Mangan said.
From here, the loaded skip bins are collected by the skip bin mob and taken to another location.
But the clues stop there, so where does the horse poo go then?
Mr Mangan said the club had approached a number of schools to see if any children wanted to bag it up and sell it for pocket money, but the schools decided against the idea.
