Musicians make Allora feet move
THE Ultra Golden Country Music Association hosted another successful musical showcase in Allora at the weekend.
The Blue Grass Boys travelled from the Redlands for the event and performed a range of music from several genres.
Their tight harmonies and sparkling musical abilities were greatly appreciated by the audience at the Allora Community Hall on Sunday afternoon.
Also taking the stage were well-known Brisbane performers Lefty and Loris Fahey and Margaret Stefan.
Local artists Phil Crook, Rosalie Hatchmann, Ron Smart, Tracy Watt and Laurel Soderberg also showed off their musical prowess.
They were well supported by UGCMA band members Carolyn Pierce on bass, Mike Spence on drums, Yvonne Blain on keyboard and Kev Stow on guitar.
In keeping with the UGCMA's aim of providing quality country (and other music) concerts where we showcase the best of local and available Brisbane talent, the audience on Sunday was effusive in its praise for the afternoon.
Our next Showcase is being held at the Allora Community Hall on Sunday, December 8, and will be our Christmas special.
A Christmas lunch will be provided as well as afternoon tea along with another great line-up of talent.
