Mustering up some country credibility

BRISBANE'S Zeke McGurk wasn't sure what to expect when he headed along to his first country music muster, but he certainly didn't think he would end up centre stage with a new electric guitar in hand.

The six-year-old won the guitar from Sydney band Forever Road, who performed at Glen Aplin's Mountview Music Muster at the weekend.

Punters travelled from all over to listen to some of the biggest names in country music, amid the picturesque landscape of Mountview Wines.

Troy Cassar-Daley and up-and-coming duo McAlister Kemp were crowd favourites at the two-day event.

Now in its second year, the Mountview Music Muster is fast growing a reputation for its laidback, family atmosphere.

A number of last year's performers returned to the Glen Aplin festival this year.
