Nate Myles on the move to Manly Sea Eagles

MANLY coach Geoff Toovey has hailed the capture of Nate Myles after the Gold Coast Titans forward signed a three-year deal with the Sea Eagles for next season.

"Nate is a quality player with tremendous experience at club, state and Test representative levels," Toovey said.

"His experience and leadership skills in the front and back-rows will be a valuable asset to some of our talented young forwards including Jake Trbojevic, Josh Starling and Blake Leary to name a few."

Myles said he would be committed to the Titans for the rest of this season, adding: "I will now focus on my role as captain of the Gold Coast Titans to ensure my final year in Titans' colours is a successful one."

Meanwhile, less than a week after suffering a severe body blow, losing Issac Luke to the Warriors next season, South Sydney has hit back with the signings of Australia's latest Kangaroo Alex Johnston and bright young hooker Cameron McInnes.

Both youngsters have re-signed until 2017.

It's a tremendous coup for coach Michael Maguire, left stunned by Luke's recent bombshell announcement he was defecting to New Zealand next season.

Johnston is one of the most exciting players in the NRL, lightning quick and a try-scoring wizard already.

McInnes had not played an NRL game but was promoted ahead of Luke in the win against the Dragons on Monday night and is seen by many as a future No.9 at Redfern.

Maguire has again named him to start this weekend against the game's number one hooker, Cameron Smith, with Luke relegated to the bench.
