NAB Charity Mercantile Day lines up social golfers

GOLF: The call has gone out for all golfers and those keen to have a go to play in the annual NAB Charity Mercantile Day at the Warwick Golf Club on Sunday.

NAB agribusiness manager Paul Swift said the aim of the day was for business teams to go head-to-head in a social day of golf.

"There is good interest in the day and we are hoping to attract as many players as possible to help raise funds for the Warwick Dementia Support Group," Swift said.

"We want teams to nominate as soon as possible.

"The event is a four-ball ambrose with four players in each team."

NAB will field two teams from the Warwick offices and one from Toowoomba.

Teams interested in nominating can contact the pro shop.

Individual players keen to join in the day can also call the pro shop to be placed in a team.

There are prizes for the best gross, best net and best dressed at what is an annual event.

With prizes for the best net, it can be advantageous for teams to have players new to the sport to boost their net chances.

The proceeds of all raffles on the day will raise money for the Warwick Dementia Support Group.

A time sheet will be in operation with bookings available from early morning by calling the pro shop on 4661 3664
