Narrow escape in morning car crash

TWO people were lucky to escape injury after a collision on the Warwick-Killarney Rd yesterday morning.

Police were called to the scene at about 10.45am.

A Killarney police spokesman said it appered a Mitsubishi sedan travelling towards Killarney from Warwick veered over double lines and on to the wrong side of the road.

The car then collided with a Toyota Hilux being driven by an 81-year-old Killarney man.

Fortunately neither driver suffered any serious injuries.

The blue Mitsubishi incurred significant damage to the front section.

The 29-year-old female driver of the Mitsubishi, who is from New South Wales, was issued with an infringement notice for crossing the double lines.

The police spokesman said the incident was believed to be caused by driver inattention.
