Narrow loss for Assumption in netball in Rockhampton
SCHOOL SPORT: The Assumption College netball team went down 38-35 to St Joseph’s, Toowoomba, in today’s qualifying final in Queensland Independent Secondary School Netball at Emmaus College, Rockhampton.
Coach Anna Hardy said her team could not have done any more to press their victory claims.
“We had minimal errors and some 50/50 calls went the other way but the girls played really well,” she said.
Assumption has another game this afternoon and a game tomorrow to determine its final place. Assumption has six wins from eight games so far.
In Confraternity Shield rugby league, Assumption/St Joseph’s led Marist College Emerald 16-0 late in the first half of its semi final.
