Nat Webb shows the Saints way with five top goals

HOCKEY:Nat Webb scored five goals as Saints scored an 8-2 win against Corinthians in ladies hockey at Queens Park on Saturday.

The weekend play heralded the return of Warwick hockey fixtures after the Easter break.

The Hegarty sisters, Sian and Ngaire, and Kerri Fitch also scored for Saints.

Caitlin Schnitzerling and Laura Donn were the Corinthians scorers.

In the men’s competition, Mackenzie Davis, Declan Coy and Jordan Eastwell scored in the Harlequins 3-2 win against Wyverns. Josh Jensen and Matt Eastwell scored for the men in green.

Some senior teams were short due to the last weekend of the school holidays resulting in some forfeits.

There were lots of juniors, both new and experienced, raring to get into hockey on Saturday.

It was great to see all those smiling faces and the excitement of playing such a fantastic sport.

With a lot of kids still enjoying their holidays, teams were made up and some games were played.

Reserve grade resumes tonight.
