National orienteers to Amiens this weekend

ORIENTEERING: One of the biggest sporting events to be held on the Southern Downs will take place in Stanthorpe this weekend.

A total of 750 orienteers from throughout Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic and Great Britain will compete in the Australian Long and Middle Distance Championships being organised by Orienteering Queensland.

The competition is part of the National Orienteering League series of events.

Action will be Amiens section of the Passchendaele State Forest on 25 courses.
