Neighbours rally around Rolf Harris over sex abuse claims

AT Rolf Harris's home village, there was no sign of the entertainer at his riverfront home.

But as the mainstream British media began reporting his identity throughout the morning as Harris being the latest ''suspect'', many of his neighbours rallied around the 83-year-old.

''It's totally out of character,'' said one woman who asked not to publish her name.

''He's the best neighbour you could find, and he's always so helpful.

''When we had the street party last year for the Royal Wedding he was there leading the singing. He was the life and soul of it. He's such a lovely man, the whole thing is unbelievable.
