New 12 years girls rugby league carnival coming to Warwick

THE Eastern Suburbs Junior Rugby League Club in Warwick will host the first official Queensland School Sport 12 years girls rugby league carnival this weekend.

The carnival starts tomorrow, Saturday, September 20, and goes to Monday.

Teams from Capricornia, Wide Bay, South Coast, Metropolitan West and two Darling Downs teams will play.

The carnival has previously been held at Hervey Bay with a mixture of district and school teams.

There will be two games for each team on Saturday and Sunday and finals on Monday.

Girls from the Warwick and District area in Darling Downs teams are:

  • Indiah Loy (Texas SS),
  • Ana Bates (Greenlands SS),
  • Georgia Harris (St Joseph's Stanthorpe),
  • Kira Etherington (Warwick Central SS),
  • Kira Holmes (Allora SS),
  • Elouise Close-Bond (Warwick Central),
  • Caroline Mayers (Texas),
  • Tahnee Gikison (Texas SS) and
  • Ebony Seibel (Allora SS).

The opening ceremony is at 9am tomorrow, Saturday.
