New 2014 Mini starts from $26,650

PRICING has been slashed on the new Mini range which is just about to reach showrooms.

The new Mini Cooper will start from $26,650, which is a $5000 reduction on the outgoing model. The new Mini Cooper D is down $3000 to $31,800 and the range topping Mini Cooper S is now priced at $36,950, a reduction of $3750.

To be officially launched on April 14, the new Mini is not so small. It features increased dimensions for the chassis, body and interior space. The 2014 Mini is 98mm longer, 44mm wider and 7mm higher.

"The new Mini receives the latest technology and features for a much higher level of refinement.  At the same time, we've retained the engaging "go-kart" driving style this iconic vehicle is known for," Mini Australia general manager Kai Bruesewitzsaid.

"But the best news for Australian Mini fans is that we have been able to reduce the pricing of the all-new Mini, making it more accessible than ever before."
