New coronavirus case ‘infectious’ on flight

Queensland's latest coronavirus case is a man in his 20s who flew into the Sunshine Coast.

Chief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young said the man tested positive upon arriving in Maroochydore.

"So he was infectious on the flight," she said.

The man had arrived into Australia on an international flight before flying from Sydney to Maroochydore on Jetstar Flight JQ790 on Friday.

Contact tracing is underway and anyone who was on that flight should call 13 HEALTH.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the man had been placed into quarantine.

"My advice is we do not have any concern about that case," she said.
