New group sure to be a ‘WoW’
WITH only six tickets left, make sure you get in quick to reserve your place for the Women of Warwick's first meeting, which gives ladies from our town the chance to connect and be inspired.
The Women of Warwick, or WoW, is a group created by Warwickites Corinne Butler, Shannon Aspinall and Sue Hamlet.
"We talk about women's lives and their journeys," Corinne said.
"I think there's a missing link in the community from that perspective."
The inaugural breakfast meeting will include giveaways from local businesses, and feature an inspiring local woman telling her story.
Organisers are keeping their lips sealed who the guest speaker will be, but they have said that there will also be a five-minute advice segment about what "Wise Women Want".
WoW is also setting up "Women @ the Waterhole", which gives ladies a chance to socialise over drinks on a Friday each month at 5.30pm.
"I've been going to the Goondiwindi ones for several years, and I wondered why we didn't we have one in Warwick," Corinne said.
"We're always so busy being busy; we know we should catch up."
Whether you have just moved here or have lived in the Rose City your whole life, the meeting is for women of all ages and backgrounds.
The breakfast will be held at Warwick's Gardens Galore on Tuesday, October 15, from 6.30 to 8am.
The cost is $25 and includes breakfast, hot and cold drinks. Dress is smart casual or "ready for your day".
