New personal best at weekend at Morgan Park Raceway

MOTORSPORT: Gold Coast driver Alyssa Lepp is in her second year of junior racing in the Queensland Super Sprints at Morgan Park and loving it.

She was second in class at the weekend in her Suzuki Swift after bettering her best lap time by two seconds with a new PB of one minute, 41 seconds.

"I like the adrenaline rush, the only sports I have done are ice skating and motorsport,” she said.

She competed in round 4B of the Queensland Super Sprints this year with the fourth and final round at the weekend.

"I hope I can secure some funds to give motor racing a good shot,” she said.

Long term, her ambition is to be a professional motorsport driver.

This weekend, the 24 Hours of Lemons race is at Morgan Park Raceway starting at 3pm Friday and finishing at 3pm Saturday.
