New teacher brings energy to small school

A FRESH face in Shannon Petersen is blessing the classrooms at the Warwick Christian College this year.

She's straight out of university and has enthusiasm and passion like no other.

Just three weeks ago Miss Petersen moved from her family home in Bundaberg excited for a fresh start in the Rose City.

"I had never been to Warwick and was surprised by how beautiful it was," Miss Petersen said.

"I love the country feel of the school and everyone is so friendly.

"I'm settling in and I can see myself hanging around for years to come," she said.

Miss Petersen said she had always wanted to work in a small school.

"I was so pleased to receive this job," she said.

"In a small school the students and staff are so much closer.

"It's a real little community and I look forward getting to know the parents and locals."
